ABOUT US
Ruang Tamu is an independent community art center established in 2022, based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The center brings together several local collectives from different disciplines, practices, and backgrounds. The idea of forming a large collective family under one roof aims to build a stronger ecosystem and a broader community network.
EVENTS
Small to medium-scale gatherings hosted by collectives, artists, and communities — from launches and celebrations to informal meet-ups.
SCREENINGS
Film and video screenings followed by conversations, often focusing on social issues, local stories, and community perspectives.
WORKSHOPS
Hands-on sessions for sharing skills and knowledge, ranging from printmaking and crafts to music, cooking, and everyday practices.
TALKS
Artist talks, discussions, and sharing sessions that open space for dialogue, reflection, and exchange of ideas.
EXHIBITIONS
