Criteria

  • Open to Malaysians and non-Malaysians, 18+
  • Individuals or small groups (up to 4)
  • All creative disciplines and experience levels welcome
  • Independent or community-based projects accepted

Our residency is process-based and rooted in community exchange. Residents spend time researching, making work, sharing skills, and engaging with local artists and communities. There is no pressure to produce a finished artwork, but we would love to hear about your experience during the residency. The focus is on learning, dialogue, self-exploration, and experimentation.

This residency is open to artists, collectives, researchers, and cultural practitioners from different backgrounds. You do not need to be a full-time artist. We welcome those who are curious, open to collaboration, and interested in community-based practice, social issues, and shared learning.
